Kogi SDP gets new officers

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State has elected Dr. Emmanuel Achimugu as State Chairman of its State Working Committee(SWC).
The congress, which held at the SDP state secretariat, Lokoja, was attended by party faithful who came from across the state.
The party members described the election as peaceful and transparent.
Those elected included Agomi Ojapa Yusuf who emerged Deputy Chairman; Alhaji Idris Sofada as Secretary.
Noah Emmanuel Akwu, Lukman Yahaya Suleman, and Isah Abdulkarim were elected Zonal Vice Chairmen.
Other members of the committee included Simon Agada as Organising Secretary, Lamdi Salami, Treasurer, and Mohammed Jimoh, Financial Secretary. Zakari Ahmed Buhari, was elected Youth Leader, and Mrs. Ronke Emife, Women Leader.

Also elected were Prince Moses Dakwu, Legal Adviser, Mr. Jethro Olusegun, Welfare Secretary and Ibrahim Momohsani Hassan, Deputy Secretary.
Mustapha Inuwa will serve as representative of Persons with Disability, while Affor Freedom was elected State Secretary for Labour and Civil Society. Elemona Ichaba, will serve as Publicity Secretary.
Achimugu thanked Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials who monitored the exercise and lauded SDP members for their orderly conduct.
He vowed to elevate the party’s profile in Kogi and expressed confidence in the readiness of the party to win elections.
Sofada commended members for their support and described the congress as successful and orderly.
