The governorship ambition of former Kwara APC Chairman, Dr. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) has received a fresh boost, as a socio-political group, Isin Progressive Like Minds Elders in Isin Local Government, Kwara State, threw their weight behind him ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Chief Kayode Olaoye and Secretary, Prince Otunola Adeleye, the group described Bolarinwa as a leader with a proven track record in governance and a clear vision for Kwara State development.

The statement read in part: “Kwarans are ready for a leader who listens attentively, unites genuinely, and drives sustainable development, improved security, and robust economic growth. We firmly believe that Dr. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) possesses the requisite experience, competence, and passion to effectively address these pressing priorities.

“We also call on all well-meaning Kwarans at home and in the diaspora to join us in encouraging Hon. Dr. Bolarinwa to step forward and offer himself for the governorship race.”
