The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has held its first meeting of the year, with members urged to strengthen unity, professionalism, and commitment to the ideals of journalism and the promotion of Anambra State.

The meeting, held in Abuja, was chaired by the President of the association, Ikenna Okonkwo, with Princess Ekwi serving as secretary. In his remarks, Okonkwo called on members to take the activities of the organisation more seriously in the new year by being punctual to meetings, building stronger relationships, and actively supporting the association’s programmes.

“We must take this organization seriously this year. Let us be punctual to meetings, strengthen our bond as colleagues, and work together to build a stronger League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja,” Okonkwo said.
