The Lagos State Government has announced that three additional annex offices of the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) will be opened in March as part of its efforts to deepen consumer protection and improve service accessibility across the state.
General Manager of LASCOPA, Afolabi Solebo, made this known during the agency’s Management Retreat held recently in Ikeja. According to him, the establishment of the new annex offices demonstrates government’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity at the grassroots level and ensuring the prompt resolution of consumer complaints.
He noted that the expansion will significantly enhance response time, increase accessibility, and reinforce the Agency’s statutory mandate to safeguard consumer rights throughout Lagos State.

Solebo reiterated LASCOPA’s commitment to improved service delivery, proactive consumer advocacy, and the promotion of fair trade practices. He emphasised that the new offices will further position the agency as a responsive and community-focused institution.
He encouraged residents to promptly report cases of unfair or unsatisfactory services, as well as the sale of fake, expired, or substandard products. Lagosians were also advised to always obtain receipts or properly signed agreements for every transaction as proof of purchase or service. “Your receipt is your power,” he stated.
The annex offices, situated at the Epe Local Government Area, Ojo Local Government Area, and Isolo Local Council Development Area, will be commissioned as part of activities marking World Consumer Rights Day 2026.
The event will also feature a public enlightenment and sensitisation programme.
