Lions Club International has pledged to scale-up its humanitarian services in Nigeria by providing support to the less privileged in the society.

District Governor, Lions International Club District 404A2, Pastor Ezekiel Umoh, disclosed this at a press conference ahead of the national convention of the organisation themed: “Service beyond boundaries” in Abuja.

According to him, the essence of the organisation is to provide service.

He said the Club renovated a ward at the maternity section at the Wuse General Hospital, Abuja, and provided mattresses and bed sheets to the hospital.

“We have been able to replace about three to four toilets in the hospital. We also went to the Gwagwalada Teaching Hospital and made a donation of N1.5 million to a child that is seriously incapacitated and the doctor referred them to Enugu Teaching hospital.
