Actress Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to a celebrity boxing match with rival Iyabo Ojo, years after show promoter Paulo Okoye first proposed the bout.
Anjorin announced her decision in an Instagram post on Sunday, reigniting the long-running dispute between both actresses.
“As at today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge,” she wrote.
However, she introduced new conditions, insisting that Okoye must first face her husband, Lawal, in a 10-round boxing match before she steps into the ring with Ojo the following day.
“You and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be me and Iyabo Ojo in the ring,” she stated.
Anjorin also challenged Okoye and Ojo to publicly present proof of their assets and achievements, escalating the exchange of personal accusations that has characterised their feud.
The dispute between Anjorin and Ojo has spanned several years, involving social media confrontations, legal tussles, and police petitions.
Okoye initially floated the boxing proposal in 2024, attaching a N10 million prize for the winner.
Tensions intensified in 2025 when Ojo filed a N1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin. Although the case was struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated plans to pursue further legal action.
Anjorin’s acceptance comes amid a rise in celebrity boxing events in Nigeria. Street-pop artiste Portable recently lost to comedian Carter Efe at a celebrity fight event in Lagos.
