The MAAUN Group of Universities has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Muhammad Sanusi Magaji as Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo (FUSTK), Kano State.

In a statement, Founder of MAAUN Group of Universities, Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the appointment as timely and well deserved, noting that Prof. Magaji’s track record in academia and public service makes him well suited for the task of leading the new university.

Gwarzo recalled that before his appointment, Prof. Magaji served as the pioneer Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, which was later upgraded to the Federal University of Science and Technology by the Federal Government. He also previously served as Acting President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano.

According to him, the new Vice-Chancellor is a seasoned scholar and administrator with deep commitment to research, innovation and academic excellence, adding that his leadership would place FUSTK on a solid footing for growth and development.

“President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Prof. Magaji reflects confidence in competence and experience. We are optimistic that he will bring the needed transformation and institutional stability to FUSTK,” Gwarzo said.

He further expressed confidence that Prof. Magaji’s experience across different academic and administrative roles would help strengthen teaching, research and innovation at the university.

Gwarzo prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the new Vice-Chancellor wisdom, strength and guidance as he assumes responsibility for steering the institution toward national and global relevance.
