Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture is set to host its maiden Trade Fair in Lagos.

President, Alhaji Idris Yahaya, said this yesterday in an interview in Badagry.

He said the theme is: “Trading without Borders. Empowering Business for Regional and Global Markets”, adding it begins May 8 and ends May 17.

“BACCIMA Trade Fair 2026 will take place at Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Badagry Expressway, Lagos.

“One of the duties of the chamber is to bring businesses together for business transactions. We have been thinking about this since 2024, but the planning started in November,” he said.

Yahaya said the chamber invited affiliated bodies in Ghana, Togo, Benin and Cote D’Ivoire, adding they had confirmed participation.

“In Nigeria, we have also invited companies, small and big enterprises.

“The fair will expand your market reach access to thousands of qualified buyers, distributors and retailers from Nigeria and other ECOWAS countries and beyond.

“It will give businessmen opportunities to unveil products and services to a captive, qualified audience.

“It will engage with export promotion agencies, investment promotion bodies and government trade desks for licences, permits and incentives.

“They can engage with investors, development finance instructors and potential business partners,” he said.

He said the fair would allow people from outside the country to patronise their products.

“Also hoteliers in Badagry will make more money through lodging and others.

“Besides, businessmen in all 10 local governments and local council development areas canb display their goods and make more money,” he said.

He urged small and large scale businesses to make use of the opportunity created by the fair to display their products.
