Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde yesterday inaugurated a motor park and 540 modern shops built by Ibadan North Local Government.
He ordered the relocation of roadside traders at Bodija Market, Ibadan, to the shops at no cost to the beneficiaries.
Governor Makinde, who named the ultramodern shops and park after the Babaloja of Bodija Market, Alhaji Sunmaila Jimoh, said the building of the shops and park was part of his administration’s commitment to restoring order and improving trading environment at the market.

He said traders operating on the other side of Bodija-UI Road would be relocated to another set of ultramodern shops and motor park in the next six months.
The Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Seun Olufade, hailed Governor Makinde for what he described as his commitment to people-centred governance.
He said the project stood as a further proof of the governor’s dedication to improving the lives of residents, describing it as a testament to the governor’s enduring love and responsibility toward the people of Oyo State.
