Maryland Golden Lions Club District 404B2 Nigeria weekend unveiled its new president, Lion Ayomikun Olagoroye.

The event, which took place at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat auditorium, also served as the club’s N15 million Fundraising Luncheon for its programs. Dignitaries, including the Lions Club District 404B2 Nigeria Governor, Oluwakemi Eribake, supervised the proceedings.

Lion Eribake congratulated the club for its rapid growth in its short existence and particularly commended its maiden and outgoing president, Lion Olapeju Hassan, for her leadership, describing her as the ‘mother of the club’.

She advised the new president to focus heavily on training, ensure his members follow his lead, and buy into his vision as president.

“Make sure you upgrade yourself and grow; be tolerant, relate, smile, and be a good leader. Make your club members family,” she admonished.

Speaking to The Nation, the new president said his main goal is to ensure the club is continually seen positively and consistently delivers meaningful and beneficial projects to the community. He also promised to align members with club activities, increase membership, and ensure all members are active.

Sworn in alongside Lion Olagoroye are: Lion Aribalusi Omotoyosi (1st Vice President), Lion Ewele Nkechi (2nd Vice President), Lion Ariyo Olamiposi (Treasurer), and Lion Omotolani Amole (Secretary).
