Actor Uzor Arukwe has disclosed that his father remains unaware or unwilling to accept his career in acting.

In an interview on WithChude with host Chude Jideonwo, Arukwe opened up about his family’s reaction to his decision to pursue a career in the film industry.

According to the actor, his father has heard about his achievements in Nollywood but has refused to believe or acknowledge them.

Arukwe noted that his mother was initially hesitant to support his chosen path because of her husband’s position, but she later warmed to it and accepted his career.

“My father doesn’t know that I’m an actor; he has heard, but he doesn’t want to believe.

“My mum was slow to adapt because of her husband, but she later came around,” he said.

The Imo State-born actor has built a solid reputation in the Nigerian movie industry, appearing in numerous popular films and television productions
