The South-South Zonal Executive Council (ZEC) of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has announced the immediate and indefinite suspension of the Delta State Executive Committee over alleged constitutional violations.
The decision was made public at a recent press briefing in Asaba, Delta State, following what the council described as a formal review conducted in line with the NAPPS Constitution 2023 (as amended).
In a statement signed by the South-South Zonal President, Dr. Ochuko Akpeme, and other zonal officials, the council said the action was taken after identifying what it termed breaches of specific constitutional provisions, including Article 96 Part B and Article 24 (iv).

The suspended executive committee, led by Mrs. Precious Young, was accused of actions the council said were inconsistent with the association’s governance framework.
These include alleged insubordination, failure to remit zonal and national dues, dissemination of information considered misleading, and taking decisions without the required approvals.
The ZEC stated that the measures were necessary to preserve order and maintain confidence in the association’s leadership structure.
The affected officials have been directed to hand over all association documents and property within three days.
