Kamorudeen noted that his experience in the force exposed him to opportunities that influenced his path into public service, adding that his early years in policing remain a defining part of his life.
“It was a serendipitous start that continues to guide my service in public office today,” he added.
National Police Day is observed to recognise the sacrifices, resilience, and contributions of police officers across the country. Stakeholders often use the occasion to advocate for reforms, improved welfare, and stronger community policing frameworks.
Kamorudeen aligned with these calls, urging greater support and recognition for officers who continue to play a critical role in safeguarding lives and property.
He stressed that sustained investment in the welfare and capacity of police personnel would enhance their effectiveness and boost public confidence in the nation’s security architecture.
The presidential aide also called on Nigerians to appreciate the sacrifices of officers, noting that their contributions remain vital to national stability and development.
