The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has  reportedly paid the Super Eagles their agreed share of the prize money earned from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Nigeria finished third at the tournament after defeating Egypt on penalties in the third-place playoff.

Following their run to the semi-finals, the Super Eagles secured $2.5 million in prize money, with the eventual champions taking home a record $10 million.

Under an agreement reached before the tournament, the NFF committed to paying the team 30 per cent of the total prize money.

According to SCORENigeria, each player in the squad received $15,000 as part of the pay-out.

A top official confirmed the payment, saying: “The team have received their agreed share of the prize money.”
