Nigeria's youth handball teams swept both titles at the IHF Trophy Africa Zone 3 Phase in Lomé, Togo on Saturday, with the Under-18 and Under-20 sides defeating their respective opponents to seal continental qualification.

The Under-18 team opened the day's proceedings with a commanding 32–19 victory over Ivory Coast in their category final, controlling the contest from start to finish to announce themselves as a growing force in African youth handball.

Nigeria's Under-20 side then maintained the momentum, dispatching Benin Republic 39–29 in the second final. Clinical in attack and composed throughout, they wrapped up a second title for the country at the same tournament.

Both victories earn the teams passage to the continental stage, where they will represent Zone 3 against the best sides across Africa.

The double triumph underlines Nigeria's continued investment in grassroots handball development under the National Sports Commission.
