He dismissed a much touted chatter as a sign of weakness from his rivals, asserting that his seat at the primary table is non-negotiable.
Describing himself a seasoned politician with a proven ability to win, Abbas asserted: "I am a grassroots politician, and I am fully prepared to face any contender. This primary must reflect the true will of our members, not the fears of those who can't win at the polls."
The Senator reaffirmed loyalty to democratic principles, insisting that the APC primary must be a transparent process.
He posited that the path to the governorship election leads straight through the ballot box, except that his rivals appear not ready for the heat.
