Chibudom Nwuche, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, praised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership for holding a peaceful national convention in Abuja.
Nwuche singled out the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and PDP National Leader, Nyesom Wike, for his role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise, noting that the convention reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy, unity, and institutional stability.
He said the orderly proceedings and broad participation by delegates across the country reinforced confidence in the PDP’s capacity to self-organise and position itself for national leadership.

The PDP chieftain also acknowledged the presence and contributions of key stakeholders, including Bukola Saraki, Sule Lamido, Ahmed Makarfi, Ibrahim Dankwambo, Abba Moro, and Kingsley Chinda, among others, describing their support as critical to the convention’s success.
He further commended the Convention Planning Committee, chaired by former Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, for delivering a transparent and hitch-free exercise.
Nwuche congratulated the newly elected National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, and National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, urging them to lead with inclusiveness and a renewed focus on strengthening the party.
He expressed optimism that the successful convention would deepen unity within the PDP and enhance its readiness for future electoral contests, while calling on members nationwide to remain committed to the party’s rebuilding efforts.
