The Oyo State Public Relations Officer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Michael Ogunsina, has alleged that the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, was offered a substantial financial inducement running into eight figures, alongside a House of Representatives ticket, to influence actions against Governor Seyi Makinde.
Ogunsina raised the allegation while speaking on Dominion Television’s programme, The Agenda, monitored in Ibadan, where he expressed concern over what he described as attempts to destabilise the Makinde-led administration.
He further claimed that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, approached the Speaker and urged him to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as part of broader political manoeuvres within the state.
According to him, former First Lady of Oyo State, Florence Ajimobi, is also pushing for the impeachment of Governor Makinde.

Ogunsina stated that the Speaker was reportedly invited to a meeting in Lagos, where he was encouraged to abandon the PDP for the APC, with an alleged promise of the House of Representatives ticket for Ido/Ibarapa East constituency, an offer he said was declined.
He argued that the alleged actions point to a coordinated effort by influential actors to create tension within the state’s political structure and weaken the relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.
Ogunsina warned that such developments could undermine stability in the state if not addressed, adding that the PDP was monitoring the situation closely.
