Leaders and prominent indigenes of Okigwe Senatorial Zone have gathered for a historic Lenten meeting, combining spiritual reflection and strategic politics, to pray for a peaceful 2028 governorship election in Imo State.

The gathering, held at Umueze country home of an elder statesman, Chief Tony Chukwu, focused on Okigwe’s collective aspiration to produce the governor of Imo State in 2028 at the end of the tenure of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
