The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, has reiterated the state’s commitment to backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking during a media briefing on Sunday with journalists following the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja, Ajanaku said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as the party leader in the state, had pledged unwavering support for the President’s re-election bid.

He recalled that Ondo State delivered the highest number of votes for Tinubu in the South-West during the last election and expressed confidence that the state would surpass that performance in 2027.

"Governor Aiyedatiwa has assured party stakeholders of intensified mobilization efforts to double the feat, further strengthening the APC’s dominance in Ondo State," Ajanaku said.

The Commissioner also congratulated APC members in Ondo and across the country, describing the recent convention as a demonstration of unity.

He added that the successful gathering has further positioned the party for victory, particularly in the 2027 presidential poll.

Highlighting reasons for continued support, Ajanaku pointed to key federal government interventions in the state, including the 71-kilometre Ondo stretch of the ongoing Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road project, the construction of Ore–Ondo Road, and the Ondo Sea Port, among others.

He said these projects have positively impacted the state’s economic prospects and justified sustained backing for the President.

Ajanaku, however, conveyed heartfelt birthday wishes to President Tinubu on behalf of Governor Aiyedatiwa, the state government, and the people of Ondo, praying for his long life, good health, and wisdom in steering national affairs.
