Nigerian international Paul Onuachu has reportedly rebuffed a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League, choosing to remain with Trabzonspor despite a massive contract offer from Al-Ahli.
Sources indicate that Al-Ahli offered to triple the striker's current wages to lure him to the Gulf State. However, according to reports from Fanatik, the Super Eagles star has prioritized sporting success and family stability over the financial windfall.
The 31-year-old forward, who has become a focal point of the Trabzonspor attack, signaled his intent to see out his mission in Turkey.

“I will stay here. We have trophies to win with Trabzonspor,” Onuachu reportedly said.
The striker is currently under contract with the Black Sea Storm until June 2028. His decision comes amid additional scouting interest from clubs in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, further cementing his status as one of the most sought-after targets in the region.
Onuachu’s commitment provides a massive boost to Trabzonspor’s silverware ambitions. The club is currently entrenched in a fierce battle at the top of the Süper Lig table:
With only seven rounds of matches remaining, Trabzonspor remains a mathematical contender for the championship. Onuachu’s prolific form—netting 21 goals to lead the Golden Boot race—will be the deciding factor as the club looks to overtake Fenerbahçe and close the gap on the league leaders.
