Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel could be set for a dramatic return to Turkish football, with reports linking him to Galatasaray the arch-rivals of his former side, Fenerbahçe.

The Nigerian fullback only joined Birmingham City last summer, but his stint in the English Championship has been far from smooth. Limited game time has hampered his impact, while tensions around the club have been evident, including a troubling incident following a defeat to Middlesbrough FC.

Turkish outlet Fanatik reports that Galatasaray are now considering Osayi-Samuel as a key option to strengthen their right-back position. The Istanbul giants are believed to be reassessing their defensive options, with current solutions failing to fully convince.

Hungarian international Roland Sallai has been deployed in the role, while Ivorian defender Wilfried Singo is reportedly attracting interest elsewhere and could depart.

A move would represent a bold and controversial switch across one of football’s fiercest rivalries, potentially reigniting Osayi-Samuel’s career in familiar territory.

If the move sails through, the Nigerian will have a chance to reunite with his compatriot, Victor Osimhen who is in his second season with Galatasaray.
