Residents of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area have lauded the council Chairman, Otunba Kehinde Al-Maroof Oloyede (aka Kendoo), for distributing 800 free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to pupils across the council.
They described the gesture as a timely intervention aimed at expanding access to education and easing the financial burden on parents.
The programme, held yesterday, at the Legislative Hall of the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Secretariat, attracted a large gathering of pupils, parents, community leaders and other education stakeholders.

Oloyede, represented by his Chief of Staff, Leke Banjoko, urged beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and make the most of the opportunity.
He noted that the distribution formed part of his administration’s broader commitment to educational development in the local government. He said the council remained determined to invest in initiatives that promote academic excellence and create equal opportunities for young people in the community.
The Chairman highlighted some of his administration’s interventions in the education sector, including the construction of an ultramodern primary school building for St. Paul Primary School, Makinde; annual free GCE and UTME forms distribution; weekly free medication for pupils living with disabilities at Central Primary School; and the provision of teaching aids, whiteboards and computers to public primary schools within Oshodi-Isolo.
A beneficiary, Abibat Salaudeen, expressed gratitude to the council chairman.
She described the gesture as a source of encouragement and motivation for pupils striving to further their education.
