Super Eagles striker and Galatasaray talisman Victor Osimhen has announced plans to venture into football club ownership, targeting acquisitions in both the Turkish and Nigerian leagues.

The 27-year-old forward disclosed his intentions during a viral live stream with popular content creator Carter Efe, marking a significant pivot toward a long-term post-career business strategy. Osimhen confirmed that his primary target is Istanbulspor, a historic club currently competing in the Turkish second division (TFF First League).

In a strategic move to bolster Nigerian football, Osimhen detailed a dual-club structure. The plan involves establishing or acquiring a "branch" club in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). This domestic outfit would serve as a primary scouting and developmental hub, providing a direct pipeline for elite Nigerian grassroots talent to transition to the European stage via Istanbulspor.

"I plan to buy Istanbulspor," Osimhen stated during the broadcast, emphasizing his desire to give back to the sport that brought him global fame.

The move is backed by substantial financial leverage. Osimhen, who recently secured a permanent transfer to Galatasaray in a deal worth approximately €75 million, remains one of the highest-paid players in world football.

While Osimhen is already known for extensive real estate holdings in Nigeria and abroad, this foray into the Multi-Club Ownership (MCO) model mirrors a growing trend among elite athletes.

By leveraging his influence in Turkey—where he has become a cultural icon since joining the Süper Lig—and his roots in Nigeria, Osimhen aims to professionalize the pathway for the next generation of African stars.

Industry analysts suggest that acquiring a Turkish second-division side offers a high-value entry point into European football management, providing a platform for player trading and continental exposure.
