…account for N1trillion revenue, 114 tractors procured—Oyebamiji tells Adeleke
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), on Tuesday dismissed Governor Ademola Adeleke’s claims listing 23 reasons why Oyebamiji is allegedly unelectable.
The Nation had reported that Adeleke, on Monday, criticised Oyebamiji’s past public service as head of the Osun State Investment Company (OSICOL) and as Commissioner for Finance, accusing him of mismanaging state investments and pursuing anti-worker policies.
In response, Oyebamiji challenged the governor to account for the management of over N1 trillion in state revenue and clarify the procurement of 114 tractors by the state government. He described Adeleke’s compilation as distorted and outright misinformation.
“The Adeleke government has lost public goodwill and is desperately curating narratives to distract from its glaring governance failures,” Oyebamiji said. He added that the administration’s declining credibility was evident last week when two key officials defected to the APC within a week—Bishop Michael Adewale, Special Adviser to Governor Adeleke, and Hon. Adeboye Sikiru Akinyemi, Vice Chairman of Odo-Otin Local Government. Both cited a loss of confidence in Adeleke’s leadership.
Oyebamiji claimed that several commissioners and special advisers are secretly engaging with APC leaders to support his campaign, expressing dissatisfaction with the current administration.
“They are positioning themselves to be part of the process that will politically end this failed government before it is finally sent packing by the people of Osun State in a few months,” he said, asserting that Adeleke will lose the August 15 election.

“It is a clear indictment of Governor Ademola Adeleke and his team to now claim that Bola Oyebamiji was involved in any financial impropriety when they have had almost four years to investigate and prosecute him if there were credible grounds. This only exposes how hollow and morally bankrupt the Adeleke government has been.”
The APC guber candidate affirmed that his tenure in public offices witnessed reforms, improved attention to infrastructure, and enhanced staff welfare, including the establishment of staff clinics and other welfare packages for the agency’s workers.
He queried that why only N7.6 billion was allocated to agriculture in three years despite earning close to N1 trillion in revenue, spending N92 billion on his office while key sectors of the economy remain poorly funded and why Osun State Government failed to produce the 114 tractors it claimed to have purchased in a press statement dated August 25, 2024, signed by Mallam Olawale Rasheed among others.
