Osun 2026: We’ll not allow 2022 rigging occurrence, AMBO victory sure—APC campaign council
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ijesa South Campaign Council has declared that it will not allow a repeat of the alleged irregularities that characterised the 2022 Osun State governorship election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ijesa South Campaign Council has declared that it will not allow a repeat of the alleged irregularities that characterised the 2022 Osun State governorship election.
The council also expressed confidence that the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would emerge victorious in the 2026 governorship poll and restore what it described as good governance and responsible leadership in the state.
Chairman of the Campaign Council, Hon. Femi Kujembola, made the declaration while addressing journalists in Ilesa on Wednesday, saying the APC was returning to the political arena with renewed strength, determination and confidence of reclaiming power in Osun.
“As you are aware, we had an unfortunate occurrence in the 2022 governorship election. We will resist such a plot in the coming poll. Almost four years are gone, and we are back with full assurances, determination, renewed strength and hope to return to power in the state,” he said.
Kujembola stated that the composition of the campaign council reflected the party’s confidence in the competence, capacity and resilience of Oyebamiji to lead the state.
“We are beginning this journey with a profound belief in the vision and resilience of our candidate, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, to deliver qualitative administration and good governance for the good people of Osun State and a better future for our children,” he added.
He further argued that the outcome of the 2022 governorship election had not translated into meaningful development or benefits for residents of the state.
“The present administration under Governor Ademola Adeleke has since assumption of office abandoned critical issues of development and progress for reckless divisive governance.” he said
Describing the APC candidate as prepared and visionary, he said, “Our candidate, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, is a man of great vision and impeccable character. His missions for good governance are shaped by his experiences, beliefs and values.
“He is therefore fully groomed mentally, physically and emotionally to govern the state through qualitative education, pragmatic and functional health systems, benevolent social interventions, rural development, productive agrarian revolution, massive road infrastructures, transformative youth empowerment and other phenomenal projects.”
