Abijagun family on Lagos Island has announced the death of one of their illustrious sons, Dr Mohammed Salami, who passed away on April 27 after a brief illness and buried the following day, according to Islamic rites.
He was 86.
The deceased was a patriarch, dependable, a distinguished medical professional and a Muslim scholar.

The late Salami was a permanent secretary at Lagos State Hospital Management Board and retired in February 2000.
He is survived by a wife, Mrs Munirat Salami and children, among whom are Mrs Latifat Sadoh, Mrs Kalifat Araoye and others, including his siblings and adopted children.
