Venerable Akinlolu Durojaiye has passed on.
He died on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
Born on January 31, 1954, in Ibadan, he attended Ebenezer Primary School, Igbo Elero’s Grammar School, Yaba College of Technology and Loughborough University of Technology in the United Kingdom.
On joining the teaching service of Oyo State, Durojaiye taught Chemistry and Mathematics at Bishop Phillips Academy and Urban Day Grammar School in Ibadan.

He rose to the post of a principal before he retired in 2005.
He was ordained a priest of the Anglican Communion, in which capacity he worked at various churches within Ibadan, Saki, Igbeti and Gbongan before he retired meritoriously in 2024.
