Cross country filmmaker and football entrepreneur, Pascal Atuma has expressed gratitude to God as he reminisced on his success as a filmmaker and football entrepreneur.

The filmmaker took time to look back at his achievements as he celebrated his 52nd birthday on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

In his words, “Today, I stand at the threshold of another year, and my heart is overflowing with a profound sense of gratitude. To the Almighty God, the director of the greatest script ever written, my life, I say thank you. For the gift of breath, for the grace to see another birthday, and for the strength to keep pushing boundaries, I am eternally indebted.

“As I reflect on my years as a filmmaker, I am humbled by the stories told, the lives touched, and the doors opened. Storytelling has never just been about entertainment for me; it has always been about impact — shaping minds, preserving culture, and inspiring possibility. My journey as a football entrepreneur has also carried that same purpose: building platforms that give young people the opportunity to discover their gifts, develop capacity, and believe that greatness can come from anywhere.”

He continued as he reminisced on his decision to venture into the sporting world as a football entrepreneur.

In his words, “Transitioning into the world of football entrepreneurship wasn’t just a career move; it was an extension of my soul’s purpose. Whether it’s through the lens of a camera or the scouting of a young talent on the pitch, my mission has always been the same: Capacity Development.

“I have always believed that an opportunity isn’t a license to fill one’s pockets but a platform to build a legacy. There is a special kind of respect I hold for those who see a chance and think of change for the many rather than wealth for the one.

Atuma also used the opportunity to celebrate the giant strides of Governor Alex Otti saying, “in him, I see a leader who understands that power is stewardship.”

He said, “It is this very philosophy that informs my stand today. On this special day, I am choosing to celebrate not just myself but the vision currently unfolding in my home state. I am throwing my full support behind Governor Alex Otti of Abia State. His commitment to projects that prioritize humanity and the citizens of Abia is a breath of fresh air. For the first time in a long time, we are seeing the dividends of leadership that values the person over the politics.

“I must be candid: it is disheartening to witness the growing “gang up” of past executives and career politicians who held the reins of Abia for years with nothing to show for it. Their era was defined by stagnation, yet they now seek to obstruct progress. To them, I say: The era of self-enrichment at the expense of the people is over. The results speak for themselves, and the people have moved on.

“Your Excellency, as I celebrate today, I urge you to keep your eyes firmly on the goal. Do not be distracted by the noise of those who had their chance and blew it. Always remember: to whom much is given, much is expected. Do not rest on your oars. The road to total restoration is long, and the people of Abia are counting on you. Continue to distinguish yourself as an empathetic leader who hears the cries of the youth and the needs of the elderly. I celebrate this birthday with hope, knowing that under your watch, Abia is finally on the path to greatness.”
