The Tinubu/Shettima Global Support Group (TSGSG) has formed an alliance with youth grassroots canvassers in Osun West Senatorial District, led by Peter Ogundeji, to mobilise support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
The partnership aims to deepen community-level engagement and broaden the support base of the All Progressives Congress across the 10 local government areas in the senatorial district.
Speaking on Sunday, the Osun State Coordinator of TSGSG, Mohammed Ibrahim, said the group has remained active in mobilising grassroots and international support for the Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
According to him, the organisation has also been promoting the administration’s policies and achievements to both domestic and international audiences.
Ogundeji, a senatorial aspirant for Osun West in 2027 and leader of the Apata Political Movement, commended the operational strength of the support group, particularly its grassroots presence across wards and local government areas in Osun State, as well as its national and diaspora advocacy network.
He reiterated his commitment to the progressive ideology of the ruling party and expressed confidence in the leadership vision of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima.
Ogundeji said the Renewed Hope agenda represents reform, productivity and national renewal, adding that meaningful transformation requires structure, courage and policy continuity.
He also welcomed the group’s declaration of support for his ambition to secure the party’s senatorial ticket for Osun West, noting that his aspiration is anchored on the progressive philosophy championed by the President and the Vice President.
According to him, if given the mandate of the party and the people of Osun West, his legislative focus would include empowerment initiatives, infrastructure advocacy, youth productivity and enterprise development.
He further expressed readiness for closer collaboration between the Apata Political Movement and TSGSG to mobilise organised grassroots support, particularly in advancing the second-term bid of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima.
Ogundeji also pledged to deploy his political structure in support of the governorship aspiration of Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15.
He emphasised that consolidating progressive leadership at the state level would strengthen the party’s national direction.
Ogundeji added that the collaboration between his political movement and the support group would focus on disciplined mobilisation and strategic engagement across wards and local government areas.
He stressed that unity within the progressive camp remains critical to advancing shared political objectives and strengthening grassroots participation.
