Managing Partner of Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, Mrs Elizabeth Idigbe, has been honoured as one of Africa’s leading women of impact in the Law & Justice sector at the ARISE News Africa Women of Impact Award 2026.

The award ceremony, held on March 8, was in commemoration of International Women’s Day.

It celebrated 100 outstanding African women whose work continues to shape and influence the African continent.

“PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors is immensely proud of this well deserved recognition and of Mrs Idigbe’s continued impact in inspiring and empowering the next generation of women leaders,” the firm said.

The event was a powerful celebration of excellence held in recognition of International Women’s Day.

The prestigious gathering brought together dignitaries, high-profile guests, and the remarkable honourees of the evening, recognising women who continue to shape Africa through courage, leadership, and influence.

The organisers, represented by Eka Obaigbena, said the awards were intended “to honour the undeniable force of African women, recognising their work, brilliance, sacrifice and the quiet yet determined ways they continue to reshape societies.”

She boasts of an impressive career spanning over three decades, marked by her exceptional expertise in areas such as Energy & Power, Real Estate, Trust & Wealth Management, Company Secretarial Practice, and general Corporate & Commercial Practice.

She holds a Master of Laws Degree from the University of Lagos and is a respected member and fellow of professional bodies such as the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), respectively.

She has extensive experience in both the banking and oil & gas industries, where she held significant positions such as Company Secretary of a major deposit bank and General Manager in charge of Human Resources, Corporate Services, and Company Secretarial affairs at a prominent oil marketing company.
