Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his ongoing global diplomatic engagements, describing them as critical to Nigeria’s economic growth and development.

Radda made the remarks while speaking with Nigerian journalists on the sidelines of the President’s three-day state visit to the United Kingdom, expressing optimism that the trip would attract substantial investments into key sectors of the economy.

According to him, the President’s engagements with major global economies are aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s international partnerships and unlocking new investment opportunities, particularly in agriculture, mining and energy.

He noted that such strategic alliances would position Nigeria as an emerging economic market and help drive sustainable development.

“The current administration is focused on economic prosperity through foreign direct investment. Our goal is to see the economy expand, with increased investment inflows into Nigeria,” he said.

The governor stressed that each diplomatic outing is ultimately geared towards advancing national economic development, adding that the administration’s efforts are already yielding positive outcomes.

Radda also commended Tinubu for revitalising high-level diplomatic exchanges with the United Kingdom, recalling that the last state visit by a Nigerian leader was undertaken by former Head of State Ibrahim Babangida in May 1989.

He added that the current visit builds on a renewed pattern of strategic engagement with leading global powers.

“The diplomatic relations we are building under this administration are excellent. These relationships will accelerate Nigeria’s development and create prosperity for our people,” he said.
