Economist, Bismarck Rewane, and others are to headline 2026 Economic Summit organised by Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 20.

The summit, holding on March 21 at Christ the Lord Parish in Lekki Phase 1, will bring together policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss strategies for growth, wealth creation, and sustainable development.

The event: “Positioned for Advantage in a Shifting Economy,” will be open to physical and virtual participants.

The host, Assistant Pastor of Region 11 and Pastor at Lagos Province 20, Tunde Netufo, said the church is empowering people economically as part of its Christian responsibilities.

He noted the initiative will promote economic literacy and build resilience in navigating our economic realities.

The pastor said the summit aligns with the church’s mission of contributing to national development and deepening understanding of economic issues affecting citizens daily.

Rewane will deliver the keynote, while the panel will focus on personal wealth creation, SMEs, and impact of taxation on people and businesses.

Speaking on personal wealth and financial empowerment is Sola Adesakin, founder of Smart Stewards Financial Advisory and Smart Stewards Advisory LLC.

On SMEs is Chidi Okpaluba, a social entrepreneur with experience in business development and NGO initiatives.

Providing insight on taxation will be Nike James, a partner at KPMG with experience advising multinational and local clients on tax risk management, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructuring and regulatory compliance.

Organisers noted that recent tax policies introduced by the Federal Government require individuals and businesses to deepen their understanding of taxation issues.

The panel sessions will be moderated by Uwa Osa Oboh, principal at African Capital Alliance. At the same time, award-winning broadcaster Ayo Mairo-Ese of Arise News Channel will serve as the event anchor.

Organisers said the summit is expected to provide a platform for thought leadership, practical insights, and strategies to position individuals and businesses for success in Nigeria’s evolving economic environment.
