The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, has reiterated his commitment to transforming Ogbomoso, ensuring its progress and development on all fronts.
He spoke during an inspection tour of The Assembly by Ennovate Lab in Ogbomoso.
The Assembly is a world-class innovation hub situated beside the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso. It is designed for multipurpose use, and operated by Ennovate Lab to serve Ogbomoso and the global community.
The Soun said his vision is all about driving growth and advancement through his 25-year development plan, which is focused on the complete transformation of Ogbomoso across different sectors.
Co-founder of Ennovate Lab, Mr Jesudamilare Adesegun-David, while conducting the Soun through the facility, noted while several professionals have used the serene co-working space to enhance their productivity and foster collaboration with other professionals, the hub is designed for the convergence of talents across Sub-Saharan Africa to build creatively and shape history from places people barely reckon with.
He highlighted some initiatives and businesses developed and supported by the hub each addressing specific challenges in Ogbomoso and larger communities.

Soun compared the transformation of the facility, which was once an old dilapidated building, to Hog Island in Nassau, Bahamas, which Huntington Hartford transformed into Paradise Island.
The monarch urged the people to keep their eyes on their vision, noting that nothing great would be born without focused vision. Emphasising that there will be distractions and detractors everywhere, he noted that visionaries must remain focused, regardless of the noise around them.
Highpoint of the tour was the presentation of a custom “Huephonia” artwork by the Assembly to him.
