The Nigerian National League (NNL) has announced plans to hold a press conference on April 24, 2026, at the Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, as the league enters its defining phase with the highly anticipated Super 4 playoffs set to determine the overall champion of the season.

The Super 4 will feature the top team from each group, all of whom have already secured automatic promotion to the elite Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The playoff tournament will then serve as the ultimate decider for the overall NNL winner.

This year's campaign has been widely regarded as one of the most competitive and transformative in recent memory, driven largely by strategic investment and structural improvements across the league.

A major highlight of the season has been the involvement of Toptier Sports Management, whose investment has significantly elevated standards. From improved officiating to enhanced player welfare, the league has witnessed notable progress in professionalism and organisation.

In particular, the consistent payment of match officials' indemnities by Toptier Sports Management has played a critical role in ensuring better officiating, fostering fairness, and raising the level of competition across all match centres.

The league has also experienced increased broadcasting presence, wider media coverage, and improved visibility — factors that have collectively strengthened its appeal to fans, stakeholders, and sponsors.

On the pitch, the competition has remained fiercely contested. While Doma United and Inter Lagos have already secured promotion with two matches to spare, the race for the remaining Super 4 spots is still very much alive.

Clubs such as Akwa United, Sporting Lagos, and Beyond Limits continue to battle it out, while the jostle between Jigawa Golden Stars and Ranchers Bees adds another layer of intrigue, with qualification still hanging in the balance.

With so much at stake, the April 24 press conference is expected to provide key insights into the Super 4 format, logistics, and the league's broader vision as it continues its upward trajectory.
