Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has reaffirmed leadership in advancing workplace safety.

The firm, ownd by ex-Niger Delta freedom fighter, Chief Government Ekpemukplo, disclosed this while participating alongside safety stakeholders in the 2026 World Safety Day Conference organised by the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) Tuesday, at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Conference Centre, in Effurun, Delta State.

Tantita’s Safety Manager, Mr. Paul Esegoro, led the delegation representing the company.

Speaking to newsmen, Esegoro praised ISPON for driving critical conversations around psychosocial safety, an area gaining increasing global attention.

He noted that Tantita remained committed to collaborating with industry bodies to strengthen safety standards, particularly in security operations where mental resilience and wellbeing are essential.

The conference, themed “Ensuring a Healthy Psychosocial Working Environment,” featured notable voices including, the National President of ISPON, Chief Dr. Udezi Stephen, who highlighted the need for professionalism and warned against cost-cutting practices that compromise safety standards.

He also advocated for youth participation and inclusion of safety education in university curriculum across Nigeria.

The Chairman ISPON Warri Chapter, Dr. Kingsley A. Unueroh, emphasised that “profit without people is empty,” urging organisations to treat psychosocial stress as a core safety concern.

Delivering the keynote address, Professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, immediate-past Vice-Chancellor Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun, decried the economic and human cost of neglecting mental health at work, citing global productivity losses of over 1 trillion dollars linked to depression and anxiety.

He called for stronger workplace policies on harassment, work life balance support-systems, and employee wellbeing.

Other stakeholders present at the conference were safety managers from Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited among others.
