A coalition of Nigerians in the diaspora under the banner of The Future Platform USA has announced plans to host a grand rally in honour of President Bola Tinubu in Atlanta on August 1, 2026.
The group said the event is aimed at recognising the President’s leadership, showcasing the achievements of his administration, and reinforcing support for his policy direction.
In a statement released ahead of the rally, Convener of the platform, Austin Dafe, described the initiative as part of ongoing efforts to mobilise Nigerians abroad toward national development, unity and stronger international collaboration.
Dafe said the rally reflects the commitment of Nigerians in the diaspora to actively support governance efforts back home.
He noted that the gathering would serve as “a demonstration of solidarity with the leadership of President Tinubu and a platform to contribute to Nigeria’s repositioning on the global stage.”
Also speaking, the group’s Publicity Secretary, Olakunle Olaosebikan, explained that the event is designed to unite Nigerians abroad around a common vision.
According to him, the rally “will bring together Nigerians in the diaspora under a shared objective of unity, progress and constructive engagement with the country’s leadership.”
The statement further disclosed that the event is expected to attract a high-profile delegation of political figures and stakeholders from both Nigeria and the diaspora community.
It added that the rally would feature goodwill messages and participation from Nigerians across the United States and beyond, as well as friends of Nigeria and policy supporters.
Describing the event as a “defining moment,” the group said it would mark the beginning of a renewed phase of political engagement focused on progress, stability and inclusive growth.
The Future Platform USA extended an open invitation to Nigerians in the diaspora and other interested participants to attend, noting that the rally would provide an avenue to collectively reinforce national unity and contribute to Nigeria’s development narrative.
