The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has restated its commitment to strengthening its examination system through digital innovations, capacity building, and strategic collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
The examination board said its goal is to transform Nigeria into a skilled destination hub and equip Nigerian youths with 21st-century skills in line with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
NABTEB’s Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, stated this in Benin City, the Edo State capital, during the release of the 2025 November/December National Business Certificate/National Technical Certificate (NBC/NTC) and Advanced National Business Certificate/Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANBC/ANTC) examination results.

Mohammed said the results demonstrated a commitment to excellence and efficiency by being released within 64 days of the conduct of the last paper and 24 days of the completion of the marking exercise.
The NABTEB boss said the 28.42 per cent increment in enrollment and 13.92 per cent increment in the number of examination centres demonstrated the growing confidence in NABTEB examinations.
He said analysis of the results showed that 60 per cent of the candidates representing 34,060 obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Mohammed said 54,009 candidates obtained five Credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics, representing 94.74 per cent.
He added: “This performance shows a slight variation when compared to the 2024 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examination results, where 29,880 candidates (67.56 per cent) obtained five Credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics, and 42,431 candidates (95.94 per cent) obtained five Credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.
“Regarding examination malpractice, 259 candidates (0.42 per cent) of the total number who sat for the examinations were involved in malpractice, compared to 256 candidates (0.53 per cent) in 2024. This represents a slight percentage decrease in the incidence of examination malpractice compared to the 2024 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examinations.”
