Updates from the military operations in Obubra indicate that Troops of 13 Brigade Nigerian Army have apprehended and arrested two arm runners linked to the Odonget hostilities.

The two suspects Identified as Sunday Ayam and Friday Augustus have been arrested are in the custody of security operatives.

Military Spokesman Major Yemi Sokoya disclosed this in Calabar; He said the operational breakthrough is in the ongoing security operations in Obubra LGA, as part of sustained efforts to consolidate earlier successes recorded against armed criminal elements in Odonget Community.

He noted that in continuation of these operations aimes to deny criminal elements freedom of action, troops conducted a stop-and-search operation at the Obubra Checkpoint at about 12: 58 pm on 13 March 2026, where the troops intercepted and arrested the two suspects.
