The Minister of State in the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for redeploying her to the ministry, saying she is committed to supporting the government’s economic agenda and delivering results for Nigerians.

In a statement released on her X handle on Wednesday after the announcement of her redeployment, Uzoka-Anite said she was honoured by the confidence shown in her by the President and pledged to work diligently in her new role.

“I am honoured and grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued confidence in me by redeploying me to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning as Minister of State,” she said.

Uzoka-Anite described the appointment as an opportunity to contribute to the administration’s efforts to improve economic planning and strengthen development outcomes across the country.

“I am deeply honoured to serve in this new capacity, and I remain fully committed to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda and the delivery of measurable outcomes for Nigerians,” she said.

She also congratulated Taiwo Oyedele on his nomination as Minister of State for Finance and wished him success as he prepares for the confirmation process.

“I congratulate Mr. Taiwo Oyedele on his nomination as Minister of State for Finance, and I wish him a smooth confirmation process and every success in the task ahead,” she said.

Uzoka-Anite said the government was focused on strengthening the link between national planning, budgeting and implementation to ensure that policies translate into real development benefits for citizens.

According to her, she looks forward to working closely with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, as well as other officials and stakeholders to advance national priorities.

“As we continue to align planning, budgeting and implementation across government, I look forward to working closely with the Honourable Minister, HE Abubakar Bagudu, the leadership of the ministry, and stakeholders across the federation to advance national priorities, strengthen coordination and accelerate inclusive growth,” she said.

Uzoka-Anite thanked the President for the trust placed in her, noting that she remains committed to serving the country and supporting efforts aimed at improving the economy and the welfare of Nigerians.
