The Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has urged newly admitted students to embrace the university’s values of discipline and academic excellence.
The Vice Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Moshood Mahmood Jimba, gave the charge during the 16th Orientation Ceremony for fresh students.

He noted that the orientation programme aligns with the university’s tradition of familiarising new students with its values, rules, and expectations, and urged them to respect regulations and make responsible choices in their conduct.
Dean, Student Affairs Unit, Sulaiman Sheu Adua, advised the students to take full advantage of the welfare, counselling, and guidance services available to them.
He emphasised peaceful coexistence, responsible conduct on and off campus, and active participation in academic and extracurricular activities, assuring students that the Student Affairs Unit remains accessible to address concerns and support their wellbeing.
As part of a decentralised approach to student induction, the orientation exercise was also conducted for new students on the Osi Campus.
