The Series of pictures titled "Balance" created by Olamide Bakare is based on the exploration of the issue of balance that people try to find in the constantly changing environment. It is hard to argue with the fact that finding balance is one of the most difficult challenges people face nowadays. Being in constant motion, people struggle to maintain balance despite all the changes that occur. In fact, it is hard to stay under one's control and follow certain rules but not let others change one's decisions or plans. Similarly to Olamide showing stones constantly moving, people need to adapt to life and sometimes build their life like a stone tower, and sometimes get out of control.

One of the peculiarities of Olamide's composition is that it shows two types of stones. However, having analyzed Olamide's pictures, one needs to agree that the theme of the stone becomes a representation of the idea of balance. The fact is that the difference between the stacked stones and randomly put ones symbolizes the difference between people in control and those who still do not know what to do with their life.

One of the advantages of Olamide's photographs is that they only contain stones, nothing else. Stacked stones make viewers feel a sense of harmony while loose stones are associated with a chaotic state. Moreover, using a blurred background Olamide draws viewers' attention to the central object.

The next peculiarity that attracts attention is the color palette of the photographs. As one can see, there are mostly three dominant colors – blue, red, and pink. While the first color is calm, the other two represent the presence of emotions.

In regard to lighting, it should be said that it is rather uniform and allows noticing all the objects depicted. Moreover, the presence of a white stone at the bottom part of the photo makes one analyze the picture differently.

The texture of stones is what catches attention as well. Being composed of rough and smooth parts, as well as having small marks and spots, such texture seems natural and realistic.

Lastly, what should be highlighted is the idea shared by all the photographs presented – the idea of transition from the chaotic state to the balanced one. The fact is that Olamide managed to implement this idea successfully.

To conclude, it should be admitted that Olamide created a series of photographs that seem to be quite harmonious and balanced.
