The Neo Black Movement (NBM) of Africa Worldwide, has distanced itself from allegations of criminality and unlawful activities, reaffirming its status as a lawful, disciplined, and globally recognised organisation committed to human rights, integrity, and world peace.
In a statement by its President, Dr. Charles Chimezie, the Organisation reiterated that it is founded on the principles of justice, Black solidarity, cultural advancement, and service to humanity, operating strictly within the bounds of international law, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
It m rejected attempts to associate it with violence or criminality, clarifying that its official logo, duly trademarked, does not in any way represent lawlessness. It further disassociated itself from the name “Black Axe,” describing such linkage as false, misleading, and a deliberate act of reputational damage.
"The public is hereby cautioned against the misuse or misrepresentation of its identity in media and online publications," it stated.
NBM emphasised it has on several occasions issued formal disclaimers in national dailies and appeared on national television platforms to clearly inform and educate the general public on its true identity, principles, and lawful operations.
The Organisation expressed grave concerns over persistent defamatory publications and narratives propagated by certain media outlets and authorities, which have led to wrongful profiling and, in some cases, unlawful arrests of individuals.
It informed legal proceedings have already been instituted against the Bavarian Police authorities and the German Government before competent courts in Germany for defamation of character and reputational harm.
Furthermore, the Organisation confirmed that it has successfully pursued legal action against the Italian Government over defamation of character, resulting in a favorable judgment thereby reinforcing its resolve to challenge and correct false narratives through lawful means.
NBM of Africa Worldwide expressed readiness to extend similar legal actions against Swiss authorities and Europol for what it describes as coordinated acts of misinformation, racial profiling, and institutional defamation.
Citing established legal precedent, the Organisation referenced the judgment of the Nigerian High Court in the case involving Linda Ikeji, where damages were awarded for defamatory publication, reinforcing the principle that media platforms bear legal responsibility for false, injurious, and unverified claims.
It emphasised that defamation whether by individuals, media entities, or state actors remains actionable under both domestic and international law.
NBM of Africa Worldwide maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward criminality. It stressed that any member found engaging in illegal acts, including fraud or violence, will face immediate disciplinary measures such as suspension or expulsion, in addition to being handed over to appropriate law enforcement agencies for prosecution. The Organization underscored that criminal liability is strictly individual and must not be generalized to malign a lawful body.
The Organisation called on security agencies across the world to ensure that all investigations are conducted professionally, evidence-based, and devoid of bias, while avoiding the unjust attribution of alleged crimes to the Organization as a whole.
