Actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has stated that divorce is not an option for her, citing her fulfilling marriage and her husband's selfless nature.

In a recent interview, Ekeinde described her husband, Mathew Ekeinde, as a trusting and trustworthy partner who has supported her throughout their over 30-year marriage.

Ekeinde emphasised that every marriage is unique and should not be compared to others, stressing that her experience is specific to her relationship.

She attributed the success of her marriage to mutual trust and respect, stating that her husband has never been a source of disturbance in her life and has allowed her the freedom to pursue her career.

She said, “Divorce isn’t an option for me. It doesn’t mean it isn’t an option for you. I am not against divorce. I just always believe that marriage is a very personal thing. My marriage can never be the same thing as your marriage.

No two marriages are the same because no two persons are the same. The ingredients might not be the same.

"My husband is a very selfless person; he has no ego. I’ve been married to him for over 30 years, and we have never fought over a girl. So, I don’t have those kinds of problems. He doesn’t disturb me. If I have to go do my work, he trusts me totally, and I trust him. So, our indices might not be the same as yours.”
