‘Yilwatda’s re-election will engender APC stability, national renewal’

All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, has praised the election of Prof Nentawe Yilwatda as national chairman, saying the national convention is a reflection of the consensus in the party’s leadership.
Yilwatda, among other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), was returned unopposed by the over 8,000 delegates who came from all parts of the country, at the convention during the weekend in Abuja.

In a message, the APC Edo chairperson said the endorsement of Yilwatda was a demonstration of the trust delegates had in his qualifications, experience and commitment to strengthening the party’s structures nationwide.
According to him, the process highlights the ruling party’s ability to consolidate on its democratic framework, while presenting a united front on national political issues.
He said: “Your emergence, backed by the overwhelming mandate of party delegates, is a strong testament to the trust and confidence placed in your leadership, vast experience and steadfast dedication to the growth and ideals of the APC.’’
