  • Congratulates Senator Adeola

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yewa, Ogun State, Dr Gbenga Akinwande, has described the endorsement of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, as the governorship candidate of the APC in Ogun State as a good development.

Akinwande, who had before the party endorsement of Yayi, clamoured for Ogun West to produce the governor in 2027, is an ardent supporter of Adeola's governorship ambition.

Akinwande, while congratulating Adeola, described the recent development as a dream come true for the people of Ogun West.

“Ogun West has eventually broken the jinx; it is an opportunity to be at the helm of affairs and leadership in Ogun State,” Akinwande said.

He appreciated the effort of President Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Aremo Segun Osoba, Senator Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and all leaders coming together for the first time and to supporting the candidature of Senator Olamilekan Adeola to emerge as the consensus candidate of the APC.

Akinwande, in a statement he  personally signed, commended Adeola’s record of service, citing projects such as the electrification of communities' transformer distribution, solar-powered street lighting, boreholes, scholarships, road rehabilitation, and empowerment initiatives that have directly impacted communities.

Akinwande added that leadership is about capacity, courage and compassion, qualities he said Adeola has consistently demonstrated.

He stressed that the senator has built bridges across Ogun's three senatorial districts, earning acceptance beyond his native Ogun West.

According to him, the call for Adeola to step forward is not driven by sentiment but by performance and proven competence.

He concluded that the leaders have spoken with one voice, and their message is clear: they want continuity, justice, and visionary leadership demonstrated by Adeola’s predecessors.
