Warri Wolves head into a defining away clash against Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium this weekend carrying renewed belief after their crucial Matchday 36 victory.
The 1–0 win over Plateau United may have eased immediate relegation fears, but the real test now lies in Kano, where Pillars' intimidating home atmosphere has undone many sides this season.
It is against this backdrop that the Seasiders' head coach, Hassan Abd'Allah, has tasked his players to brace for another tough game and treat it as a survival battle demanding resilience, discipline, and composure.
The Kano-born tactician is urging his players to build on the momentum from their last home outing and finish their final away game of the season with a flourish.

"We have moved beyond our home win against Plateau United, which has given us renewed hope and the ambition to hunt for another positive result in Kano," Abd'Allah said. “We know how Kano is, but the players must have the belief and conviction that they can do it against all odds. It is our only hope for survival and we must do everything possible to get the result we need."
The team's fighting spirit, coupled with the backing of their travelling supporters, has become a key driving force in recent weeks as they negotiate their way out of the relegation zone.
However, the challenge is steep. Kano Pillars are traditionally strong at home and Wolves must produce one of their most complete performances of the campaign to get a result.
With just one game remaining after this, every point matters. A positive result in Kano could all but secure their top-flight status, while defeat would leave everything hanging until the final day.
Warri Wolves are 12th with 46 points from 36 games.
