The chiefdom, with headquarters in Hong, Adamawa State, was one of the seven created by the state government in December 2024 and installed paramount rulers in January, last year.
According to the Secretary, Huba Chiefdom Traditional Council, Alhaji Abba Saleh, the former SGF, who is the chairman of the grand celebration scheduled for next Saturday at the Hong Township Stadium, will be supported by other prominent sons and daughters of the Kilba nation, including Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley, and former Minister of State for Health and Foreign Affairs, Dr Aliyu Idi Hong, among others.

The activities also include cultural exhibitions, football tournaments and the unveiling of a ‘Hong Local Government Development Plan’, with the paramount ruler of the chiefdom, the Tol Huba, Alheri Bulus Nyako, as the chief host.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, who spear-headed the creation of the Huba Chiefdom, along with six others and is described as the ‘Man of uncommon History’, will be installed ‘The Midala Huba’ by the Tol Huba.
Winners of ongoing inter-district football Fiesta tagged ‘Tol Alheri B.Nyako Annual Tournament’, will be presented trophies and medals tomorrow.
On Friday, there will be a special anniversary Juma’at prayers at the Hong Central Mosque; while a mini-Durbar will be displayed at 4pm in the old palace.
Saleh added that the celebration would be rounded off on February 15 with a special thanksgiving service at the Unity Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Hong.
