Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is well-positioned for a resounding victory in the 2027 elections at all levels, citing the party’s strong performance and growing grassroots support.
The governor made the remarks over the weekend in Gombe after participating in the APC Local Government Congress.
Yahaya reaffirmed his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and described the party as solid, united, and focused on delivering effective governance.
He noted that the ongoing nationwide congresses are strengthening the party’s grassroots structure, deepening internal democracy, and strategically positioning APC for greater electoral success.
“The smooth and peaceful conduct of the congress reflects the maturity, cohesion, and strength of the party’s internal democratic processes,” he said.

Dr. Danjuma Dabo, Chairman of the State, LGA, and Ward Congresses Committee in Gombe, stated that a consensus arrangement was adopted for the exercise after extensive stakeholder consultations, ensuring unity and stability.
He described the congress as peaceful, orderly, and transparent, praising party members for their cooperation.
Hon. Ado Umar, Supervisor of the Congress in Gombe LGA, confirmed that all procedures were strictly followed, resulting in the adoption of the consensus method to produce new party officials.
The congress in Gombe LGA was attended by party elders, leaders, stakeholders, and members from all eleven wards, with similar exercises conducted simultaneously across other local government areas of the state.
