Chairman, Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Rauf Yemaren, yesterday distributed educational materials to primary schools across the council, as part of his ‘Back to School’ initiative for third term.
He distributed 10,000 exercise books alongside other learning materials, including uniforms, bags and mathematical sets, to support pupils and enhance their learning experience.
The exercise began at L.A. Primary School, Apa, where Yemaren engaged pupils and teachers, emphasising the importance of education as a foundation for a brighter future.
He urged the pupils to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their studies. while making effective use of the materials provided.
Yemaren emphasised discipline and responsibility, urging the pupils to make use of the materials distributed.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting quality education and improving learning conditions for pupils across Badagry West LCDA.

Education Secretary, Badagry Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Mr Hontonyon Joel, hailed the chairman for the initiative, describing it as a strategic intervention that would impact teaching and learning across schools in the council.
Supervisor for Education, Mr. Lanre Olatunde, lauded the initiative, describing it as an effort to strengthen basic education across the LCDA.
Head of Department (Education), Mrs. Buhari, appreciated the chairman’s continued support.
Headmistress of Methodist Primary School, Sawa, Mrs. Hunnanu Foluke; Headmaster of Methodist Nursery and Primary School, Enuko, Mr. Momodu Surajudeen; and Headmistress of Methodist Primary School, Kweme, Mrs. Todowede Christiana, thanked the chairman for the kind gesture, noting the provision of uniforms, bags, mathematical sets and exercise books would support learning and ease burden on parents.
